Rivya Prompt Clipper is a browser extension for turning selected webpage text into a structured prompt you can copy into Rivya.

Use it when you are reading a product page, article, campaign note, research snippet, or brief fragment and want a cleaner starting prompt for image, video, audio, or chat work.

What The Extension Does

Version 1 focuses on a local prompt-building workflow:

  • reads selected webpage text after you click the extension or context-menu action
  • uses the current page title, URL, and meta description as supporting context
  • builds a structured prompt in the browser
  • lets you choose Image, Video, Audio, or Chat format
  • lets you copy the prompt
  • opens the matching Rivya public workflow only when you click Open in Rivya

It is not an automated posting, outreach, backlink, or search-ranking tool.

What The Extension Does Not Do

Version 1 does not:

  • upload selected text or page content to Rivya servers by default
  • read your browsing history
  • read your clipboard
  • call AI models inside the extension
  • require a Rivya login
  • spend credits
  • run a generation task automatically
  • add links, comments, posts, or hidden redirects to websites

If you copy a prompt from the extension and submit it inside Rivya, that submitted prompt is handled like other Rivya prompts under the Privacy Policy.

How To Use It

  1. Select useful text on a webpage.
  2. Open Rivya Prompt Clipper from the browser toolbar or context menu.
  3. Choose the prompt type: Image, Video, Audio, or Chat.
  4. Review and edit the generated prompt.
  5. Click Copy prompt.
  6. Open Rivya when you are ready to paste and run the prompt.

The extension is meant to reduce prompt setup friction. Review the generated prompt before you submit it, especially when the source page includes prices, legal language, medical claims, financial claims, or product details that may need verification.

Permissions

Rivya Prompt Clipper uses a small permission set:

  • activeTab: allows the extension to read the current tab after you actively invoke it
  • contextMenus: adds the Create Rivya prompt right-click action
  • scripting: reads the current selection and page metadata after user action
  • storage: remembers your preferred prompt type and temporarily holds the current draft

Version 1 does not request broad host permissions, browsing history access, clipboard read access, or web request interception.

Opening Rivya From The Extension

When you click Open in Rivya, the extension opens the matching public page:

  • /image
  • /video
  • /audio
  • /chat

The URL may include UTM parameters such as utm_source=chrome_extension so Rivya can understand that the visit came from the extension. The selected page text is not sent through that URL.

Account, Credits, And History

The extension itself does not create Rivya tasks, save history, or spend credits.

Those actions happen only after you are on Rivya and choose to submit a prompt, upload a file, start a task, or sign in. For the product-side workflow, read Public vs Authenticated Workflows in Rivya, Rivya Studio, and Credits & Billing in Rivya.
